kerry_annKerry Ann McCarthy
~ A graduate from University of Vermont with bachelors in Psychology and Art, Kerry Ann knew she was looking for more when she moved back to Boston three years ago. After her first class, she was addicted. She started an intense practice right off the bat and saw immediate changes in her life, both physically and spiritually. Her spiritual journey took her to South East Asia where she traveled for 7 months staying in Ashrams and living the yogi/traveler’s lifestyle. After staying at one particular Ashram in Rishikesh, India she knew she had found a calling. She wanted to share the wisdom and power of yoga to others. Upon returning to the States, she immediately attended Kripalu Institute where she became certified as a Kripalu Yoga Teacher. Her love for a more powerful practice is prominent in her classes; vinyasa yoga is her passion and love. Her practice is about finding yourself on the mat, honoring your own limits, and then applying that to one’s own life.

tracy.jpgTracy Morgan ~ WED 6PM VINYASA
Tracy began her yoga practice in 2001 to help combat depression, and was immediately inspired by the profound and transformative experience. With her dance background complimenting the physical aspects of yoga, she began a full-spectrum yoga practice as well as the study of related Eastern philosophy subjects. In 2007 her 200-hour intensive training began in the Kripalu methodology at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.
Influenced by Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga as well as more Kripalu-based approaches, Tracy’s classes emphasize a flow of breath and movement to find freedom and fluidity in the body, as well as an alignment-based study of asana to focus awareness and opening of specific areas. As a teacher she encourages self-observation via non-judgemental awareness, compassion in creating a safe space for personal exploration, and gratitude for what each individual body is capable of accomplishing in a given moment.

Vinny ~ Returns to the YogaMat August 1, 2010 from India where he has started the YogaMat India Branch!
